I will also speakof Your testimoniesbeforekingsAnd shall not be ashamed.
"BecauseI calledand you refused,I stretchedout my handand noonepaidattention;
He who givesan answerbeforehe hears,It is follyand shameto him.
The firstto pleadhis case[seems] right,[Until] anothercomesand examineshim.
"Beholdnow, I have stretchedout My handagainstyou and diminishedyour rations.And I deliveredyou up to the desireof those who hateyou, the daughtersof the Philistines,who are ashamedof your lewdconduct.
"Our Lawdoes not judgea manunlessit firsthearsfrom him and knowswhathe is doing,does it?"
"Brethrenand fathers,hearmy defensewhich I now[offer] to you."
