"But whenthey handyou over, do not worryabout howorwhatyou are to say;for it will be givenyou in that hourwhatyou are to say.
"Whenthey bringyou beforethe synagoguesand the rulersand the authorities,do not worryabout howorwhatyou are to speak in your defense,orwhatyou are to say;
"But beforeallthese things,they will laytheir handson you and will persecuteyou, deliveringyou to the synagoguesand prisons,bringingyou beforekingsand governorsfor My name'ssake.
"Yet I havenothingdefiniteabouthim to writeto my lord.ThereforeI have brought him beforeyou [all] and especiallybeforeyou, KingAgrippa,sothat after the investigationhas taken place,I may havesomethingto write.
Agrippasaidto Paul,"You are permittedto speakfor yourself."ThenPaulstretchedout his handand [proceeded] to make his defense:
"So,KingAgrippa,I did not provedisobedientto the heavenlyvision,
"For the kingknowsaboutthesematters, and I speakto him alsowith confidence,sinceI am persuadedthat noneof these thingsescape his notice;for thishas not beendonein a corner.
especiallybecause you are an expertin allcustomsand questionsamong[the] Jews;thereforeI begyou to listento me patiently.
[the promise] to whichour twelve tribeshopeto attain,as they earnestlyserve[God] nightand day.And for thishope,O King,I am being accusedby Jews.
