Now there was a faminein the land;so Abramwentdownto Egyptto sojournthere,for the faminewas severein the land.
In eachand everyprovinceand in eachand everycity,whereverthe king'scommandmentand his decreearrived,there was gladnessand joyfor the Jews,a feastand a holiday.And manyamongthe peoplesof the landbecameJews,for the dreadof the Jewshad fallenon them.
Goup, you horses,and drivemadly,you chariots,That the mightymenmay marchforward:Ethiopiaand Put,that handlethe shield,And the Lydians,that handle[and] bendthe bow.
Egyptand Judah,and Edomand the sonsof Ammon,and Moaband allthose inhabitingthe desertwho clipthe hair on their temples;for allthe nationsare uncircumcised,and allthe houseof Israelare uncircumcisedof heart."
"Ethiopia,Put,Lud,allArabia,Libyaand the peopleof the landthat is in leaguewill fallwith them by the sword."

"Woeto you, scribesand Pharisees,hypocrites,becauseyou travel aroundon seaand landto makeoneproselyte;and whenhe becomesone, you makehim twice as mucha sonof hellas yourselves.
As they were comingout, they founda manof CyrenenamedSimon,whomthey pressed into serviceto bearHis cross.
They pressed into servicea passer-bycomingfrom the country,Simonof Cyrene(the fatherof Alexanderand Rufus),to bearHis cross.
But there were someof them, menof Cyprusand Cyrene,whocameto Antiochand [began] speakingto the Greeksalso,preachingthe LordJesus.
Nowthere were at Antioch,in the churchthat was [there], prophetsand teachers:Barnabas,and Simeonwho was calledNiger,and Luciusof Cyrene,and Manaenwho had been broughtup with Herodthe tetrarch,and Saul.
NowPauland his companionsput out to seafrom Paphosand cameto Pergain Pamphylia;but Johnleftthem and returnedto Jerusalem.
Nowwhen [the meeting of] the synagoguehad brokenup, manyof the Jewsand of the God-fearingproselytesfollowedPauland Barnabas,who,speakingto them, were urgingthem to continuein the graceof God.
They passed throughPisidiaand cameinto Pamphylia.
But Paulkept insistingthat they should not take him alongwho had desertedthem in Pamphyliaand had not gonewith them to the work.
They passed throughthe Phrygianand Galatianregion,having been forbiddenby the HolySpiritto speakthe wordin Asia;
(Nowallthe Atheniansand the strangersvisitingthere used to spend their timein nothingotherthantellingorhearingsomethingnew.)
And he founda JewnamedAquila,a nativeof Pontus,having recentlycomefrom Italywith his wifePriscilla,becauseClaudiushad commandedallthe Jewsto leaveRome.He cameto them,
And having spentsometime[there], he leftand passedsuccessivelythroughthe Galatianregionand Phrygia,strengtheningallthe disciples.
Cretansand Arabs--we hearthem in our [own] tonguesspeakingof the mighty deedsof God."
But on the night[immediately] following,the Lordstoodat his side and said,"Take courage;for as you have solemnly witnessedto My causeat Jerusalem,soyou mustwitnessat Romealso."
When we had sailed throughthe seaalong the coastof Ciliciaand Pamphylia,we landedat Myrain Lycia.
And the brethren,when they heardaboutus, camefrom thereas faras the Marketof Appiusand ThreeInnsto meetus; and when Paulsawthem, he thankedGodand tookcourage.
The statementfound approvalwith the wholecongregation;and they choseStephen,a manfullof faithand of the HolySpirit,and Philip,Prochorus,Nicanor,Timon,Parmenasand Nicolas,a proselytefrom Antioch.
But some menfrom what was calledthe Synagogueof the Freedmen,[including] bothCyreniansand Alexandrians,and somefrom Ciliciaand Asia,roseup and arguedwith Stephen.
So,for my part,I am eagerto preach the gospelto you alsowhoare in Rome.
to allwho are belovedof Godin Rome,called[as] saints:Graceto you and peacefrom Godour Fatherand the LordJesusChrist.
but when he was in Rome,he eagerlysearchedfor me and foundme--
And their dead bodies[will lie] in the streetof the greatcitywhichmysticallyis calledSodomand Egypt,wherealsotheir Lordwas crucified.
