"He shall builda housefor My name,and I will establishthe throneof his kingdomforever.

Neverthelessyou shall not buildthe house,but your sonwho will be bornto you, he will buildthe housefor My name.'
He builtaltarsin the houseof the LORD,of whichthe LORDhad said,"In JerusalemI will putMy name."
Then he setthe carvedimageof Asherahthat he had made,in the houseof whichthe LORDsaidto Davidand to his sonSolomon,"In thishouseand in Jerusalem,whichI have chosenfrom allthe tribesof Israel,I will putMy nameforever.
However, the LORDwas not willingto destroyJudah,for the sakeof DavidHis servant,sinceHe had promisedhim to givea lampto him through his sonsalways.
"Considernow,for the LORDhas chosenyou to builda housefor the sanctuary;be courageousand act."
He builtaltarsin the houseof the LORDof whichthe LORDhad said,"My nameshall be in Jerusalemforever."
"Nowtherefore, O LORD,the Godof Israel,keepwith Your servantDavid,my father,that whichYou have promisedhim, saying,You shall not lacka manto siton the throneof Israel,ifonlyyour sonstakeheedto their way,to walkin My lawas you have walkedbeforeMe.'
"He does not withdrawHis eyesfrom the righteous;But with kingson the throneHe has seatedthem forever,and they are exalted.
May his nameendureforever;May his nameincreaseas longas the sun[shines]; And let [men] blessthemselves by him; Let allnationscallhim blessed.
With whomMy handwill be established;My armalsowill strengthenhim.
"So I will establishhis descendantsforeverAnd his throneas the daysof heaven.
I will establishyour seedforeverAnd buildup your throneto allgenerations."Selah.
Thussaysthe LORD,"In a favorabletimeI have answeredYou, And in a dayof salvationI have helpedYou; And I will keepYou and giveYou for a covenantof the people,To restorethe land,to make [them] inheritthe desolateheritages;
For a childwill be bornto us, a sonwill be givento us; And the governmentwill reston His shoulders;And His namewill be calledWonderfulCounselor,MightyGod,EternalFather,Princeof Peace.
Therewill be noendto the increaseof [His] governmentor of peace,On the throneof Davidand overhis kingdom,To establishit and to upholdit with justiceand righteousnessFrom thenon and forevermore.The zealof the LORDof hostswill accomplishthis.
"For thussaysthe LORD,Davidshall neverlacka manto siton the throneof the houseof Israel;
"They will liveon the landthat I gaveto JacobMy servant,in whichyour fatherslived;and they will liveon it, they, and their sonsand their sons'sons,forever;and DavidMy servantwill be their princeforever.
"In the daysof thosekingsthe Godof heavenwill setup a kingdomwhichwill neverbe destroyed,and [that] kingdomwill not be leftfor anotherpeople;it will crushand putan endto allthesekingdoms,but it will itselfendureforever.
"Then sayto him, 'Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,"Behold,a manwhose nameis Branch,for He will branchout from whereHe is; and He will buildthe templeof the LORD.
"Yes, it is He who will buildthe templeof the LORD,and He who will bearthe honorand sitand ruleon His throne.Thus, He will be a prieston His throne,and the counselof peacewill be betweenthe twooffices."'
