"Be strong,and let us showourselves courageousfor the sakeof our peopleand for the citiesof our God;and may the LORDdowhatis goodin His sight."
He said,"Ifthe Arameansare toostrongfor me, then you shall helpme, but ifthe sonsof Ammonare toostrongfor you, then I will cometo helpyou.
"But ifHe should saythus,I havenodelightin you,' behold,here I am, let Him doto me as seems goodto Him."
"Be strongand courageous,do not fearor be dismayedbecauseof the kingof Assyrianor becauseof allthe hordethat is with him; for the one with us is greaterthanthe one with him.

"Go,assembleallthe Jewswho are foundin Susa,and fastfor me; do not eator drinkfor threedays,nightor day.I and my maidensalsowill fastin the sameway.And thusI will goin to the king,whichis not according to the law;and ifI perish,I perish."
He said,"NakedI camefrom my mother'swomb,And nakedI shall returnthere.The LORDgaveand the LORDhas takenaway. Blessedbe the nameof the LORD."
"Howis the land,is it fatorlean?Are theretreesin it ornot? Makean effortthen to getsomeof the fruitof the land."Now the timewas the timeof the firstripegrapes.
Be on the alert,stand firmin the faith,act like men,be strong.
"Be strongand courageous,do not be afraidor trembleat them, for the LORDyour Godis the one who goeswith you. He will not failyou or forsakeyou."
Then Mosescalledto Joshuaand saidto him in the sightof allIsrael,"Be strongand courageous,for you shall gowith thispeopleinto the landwhichthe LORDhas swornto their fathersto givethem, and you shall giveit to them as an inheritance.

sothat we confidentlysay,"THE LORDIS MY HELPER,I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.WHATWILL MANDOTO ME?"
"Anyonewhorebelsagainstyour commandand does not obeyyour wordsin allthat you commandhim, shall be putto death;onlybe strongand courageous."

The sonsof Israelsaidto the LORD,"We have sinned,doto us whateverseems goodto You; onlypleasedeliverus thisday."
So the menof the garrisonhailedJonathanand his armorbearerand said,"Comeup to us and we will tellyou something."And Jonathansaidto his armorbearer,"Comeup afterme, for the LORDhas giventhem into the handsof Israel."
Then Jonathansaidto the youngmanwho was carryinghis armor,"Comeand let us crossoverto the garrisonof theseuncircumcised;perhapsthe LORDwill workfor us, for the LORDis not restrainedto saveby manyorby few."
Davidsaidto Saul,"Let noman'sheartfailon accountof him; your servantwill goand fightwith thisPhilistine."
So Samueltoldhim everythingand hidnothingfrom him. And he said,"It is the LORD;let Him dowhatseems goodto Him."
"Takecourageand be men,O Philistines,oryou will becomeslavesto the Hebrews,as they have beenslavesto you; therefore, be menand fight."
