thereforebehold,I am bringingcalamityon the houseof Jeroboam,and will cutofffrom Jeroboameverymaleperson, both bondand freein Israel,and I will makea cleansweepof the houseof Jeroboam,as one sweepsawaydunguntilit is allgone.
It cameabout as soon as he was king,he struckdownallthe householdof Jeroboam.He did not leaveto Jeroboamanypersonsalive,untilhe had destroyedthem, according to the wordof the LORD,whichHe spokeby His servantAhijahthe Shilonite,
It cameabout when he becameking,as soon as he saton his throne,that he killedallthe householdof Baasha;he did not leavea single male,neither of his relativesnor of his friends.
"Nowthen send[and] gatherto me allIsraelat MountCarmel,[together] with 450prophetsof Baaland 400prophetsof the Asherah,who eatat Jezebel'stable."
Then Elijahsaidto them, "Seizethe prophetsof Baal;do not let oneof them escape."So they seizedthem; and Elijahbroughtthem downto the brookKishon,and slewthem there.
and I will makeyour houselike the houseof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,and like the houseof Baashathe sonof Ahijah,becauseof the provocationwith whichyou have provoked[Me] to anger,and [because] you have made Israelsin.
"Do you seehowAhabhas humbledhimself beforeMe? Becausehe has humbledhimself beforeMe, I will not bringthe evilin his days,[but] I will bringthe evilupon his housein his son'sdays."
Then the kingof Israelgatheredthe prophetstogether, about fourhundredmen,and saidto them, "Shall I goagainstRamoth-gileadto battleorshall I refrain?"And they said,"Goup, for the Lordwill give[it] into the handof the king."
Then he aroseand departedand wentto Samaria.On the waywhile he was at Beth-ekedof the shepherds,
Allthe priestsof the highplaceswho[were] therehe slaughteredon the altarsand burnedhumanboneson them; then he returnedto Jerusalem.
You shall strikethe houseof Ahabyour master,that I may avengethe bloodof My servantsthe prophets,and the bloodof allthe servantsof the LORD,at the handof Jezebel.
I will makethe houseof Ahablike the houseof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,and like the houseof Baashathe sonof Ahijah.
Now the destructionof Ahaziahwas from God,in that he wentto Joram.For when he came,he wentout with JehoramagainstJehuthe sonof Nimshi,whomthe LORDhad anointedto cutoffthe houseof Ahab.
It cameabout when Jehuwas executingjudgmenton the houseof Ahab,he foundthe princesof Judahand the sonsof Ahaziah'sbrothersministeringto Ahaziah,and slewthem.
"He has nooffspringor posterityamong his people,Norany survivorwherehe sojourned.
Let his posteritybe cutoff;In a followinggenerationlet their namebe blottedout.
But as for those who turnasideto their crookedways,The LORDwill leadthem away with the doersof iniquity.Peacebe upon Israel.
He who walkswith wisemenwill be wise,But the companionof foolswill sufferharm.
And the LORDsaidto him, "Namehim Jezreel;for yeta littlewhile,and I will punishthe houseof Jehufor the bloodshedof Jezreel,and I will putan endto the kingdomof the houseof Israel.
The LORDgaveit alsowith its kinginto the handsof Israel,and he struckit and everypersonwho[was] in it with the edgeof the sword.He leftnosurvivorin it. Thus he didto its kingjustas he had doneto the kingof Jericho.
The LORDdeliveredthem into the handof Israel,so that they defeatedthem, and pursuedthem as faras GreatSidonand Misrephoth-maimand the valleyof Mizpehto the east;and they struckthem untilnosurvivorwas leftto them.
and Jezreeland Jokdeamand Zanoah,
And the beastwas seized,and with him the false prophetwho performedthe signsin his presence,by whichhe deceivedthosewho had receivedthe markof the beastand thosewho worshipedhis image;thesetwowere thrownaliveinto the lakeof firewhich burnswith brimstone.
And the devilwho deceivedthem was throwninto the lakeof fireand brimstone,wherethe beastand the false prophetare also;and they will be tormenteddayand nightforeverand ever.
