In the firstyearof his reign,in the firstmonth,he openedthe doorsof the houseof the LORDand repairedthem.
Moreover, when Ahazgatheredtogether the utensilsof the houseof God,he cutthe utensilsof the houseof Godin pieces;and he closedthe doorsof the houseof the LORDand madealtarsfor himself in everycornerof Jerusalem.
Now they beganthe consecrationon the first[day] of the firstmonth,and on the eighthdayof the monththey enteredthe porchof the LORD.Then they consecratedthe houseof the LORDin eightdays,and finishedon the sixteenthdayof the firstmonth.
He broughtin the priestsand the Levitesand gatheredthem into the squareon the east.
"They have alsoshutthe doorsof the porchand putout the lamps,and have not burnedincenseor offeredburntofferingsin the holyplace to the Godof Israel.
For in the eighthyearof his reignwhile he was stilla youth,he beganto seekthe Godof his fatherDavid;and in the twelfthyearhe beganto purgeJudahand Jerusalemof the highplaces,the Asherim,the carvedimagesand the moltenimages.
I will setnoworthlessthingbeforemy eyes;I hatethe workof thosewhofallaway;It shall not fastenits gripon me.
"On the firstdayof the firstmonthyou shall setup the tabernacleof the tentof meeting.
Whateveryour handfindsto do,do[it] with [all] your might;for thereis noactivityor planningor knowledgeor wisdomin Sheolwhereyou are going.
"But seekfirstHis kingdomand His righteousness,and allthese thingswill be addedto you.
to revealHis Sonin me sothat I might preachHim amongthe Gentiles,I did not immediatelyconsultwith fleshand blood,
