For, "ALLFLESHIS LIKEGRASS,AND ALLITS GLORYLIKETHE FLOWEROF GRASS.THE GRASSWITHERS,AND THE FLOWERFALLS OFF,
Therefore their inhabitantswere shortof strength,They were dismayedand putto shame;They were as the vegetationof the fieldand as the greenherb,As grasson the housetopsis scorchedbeforeit is grownup.
"Like a flowerhe comesforthand withers.He also fleeslike a shadowand does not remain.
My hearthas been smittenlike grassand has witheredaway, Indeed,I forgetto eatmy bread.
As for man,his daysare like grass;As a flowerof the field,sohe flourishes.
Let them be like grassupon the housetops,Whichwithersbeforeit growsup;
For they will witherquicklylike the grassAnd fadelike the greenherb.
"Surelyeverymanwalksabout as a phantom;Surelythey makean uproarfor nothing;He amasses[riches] and does not knowwhowill gatherthem.
You have sweptthem awaylikea flood,they fallasleep;In the morningthey are like grasswhich sproutsanew.
That when the wickedsproutedup likegrassAnd allwho didiniquityflourished,It [was only] that they might be destroyedforevermore.
"I, even I, am He who comfortsyou. Whoare you that you are afraidof manwho diesAnd of the sonof manwho is madelike grass,
"But ifGodsoclothesthe grassof the field,which is [alive] todayand tomorrowis throwninto the furnace,[will He] not muchmore[clothe] you? You of little faith!
Yetyou do not knowwhatyour lifewill be like tomorrow.You are [just] a vaporthat appearsfor a little whileand thenvanishes away.
The worldis passing away,and [also] its lusts;but the one who doesthe willof Godlivesforever.
