Againstthe wallof the househe builtstoriesencompassingthe wallsof the housearoundboth the naveand the innersanctuary;thus he madesidechambersallaround.
He builttwentycubitson the rearpartof the housewith boardsof cedarfrom the floorto the ceiling;he built[them] for it on the insideas an innersanctuary,[even] as the mostholyplace.
For the entranceof the innersanctuaryhe madedoorsof olivewood,the lintel[and] five-sideddoorposts.
The loweststory[was] fivecubitswide,and the middle[was] sixcubitswide,and the third[was] sevencubitswide;for on the outsidehe madeoffsets[in the wall] of the houseallaroundin order that [the beams] would not be insertedin the wallsof the house.
For their officeis to assistthe sonsof Aaronwith the serviceof the houseof the LORD,in the courtsand in the chambersand in the purifyingof allholythings,even the workof the serviceof the houseof God,
Then Davidgaveto his sonSolomonthe planof the porch[of the temple], its buildings,its storehouses,its upperrooms,its innerroomsand the roomfor the mercyseat;
for the fourchiefgatekeeperswho[were] Levites,were in an office of trust,and were overthe chambersand overthe treasuriesin the houseof God.
Then Hezekiahcommanded[them] to prepareroomsin the houseof the LORD,and they prepared[them].
the lampstandswith their lampsof puregold,to burnin frontof the innersanctuaryin the wayprescribed;
Then the priestsbroughtthe arkof the covenantof the LORDto its place,into the innersanctuaryof the house,to the holyof holies,underthe wingsof the cherubim.
The poleswere so longthat the endsof the polesof the arkcould be seenin frontof the innersanctuary,but they could not be seenoutside;and they are thereto thisday.
We will also bringthe firstof our dough,our contributions,the fruitof everytree,the newwineand the oilto the priestsat the chambersof the houseof our God,and the titheof our groundto the Levites,for the Levitesare they who receivethe tithesin allthe ruraltowns.
On that daymenwere also appointedoverthe chambersfor the stores,the contributions,the firstfruitsand the tithes,to gatherinto them from the fieldsof the citiesthe portionsrequired by the lawfor the priestsand Levites;for Judahrejoicedoverthe priestsand Leviteswho served.
Hearthe voiceof my supplicationswhen I cryto You for help,When I liftup my handstowardYour holysanctuary.
"ThereI will meetwith you; and from abovethe mercyseat,from betweenthe twocherubimwhichare upon the arkof the testimony,I will speakto you about allthat I will giveyou in commandmentfor the sonsof Israel.
"Drawme afteryou [and] let us run[together]! The kinghas broughtme into his chambers.""We will rejoicein you and be glad;We will extolyour lovemorethanwine.Rightlydo they loveyou."
"Goto the houseof the Rechabitesand speakto them, and bringthem into the houseof the LORD,into oneof the chambers,and givethem wineto drink."
and I broughtthem into the houseof the LORD,into the chamberof the sonsof Hananthe sonof Igdaliah,the manof God,whichwas nearthe chamberof the officials,whichwas abovethe chamberof Maaseiahthe sonof Shallum,the doorkeeper.
Then he broughtme into the outercourt,and behold,[there were] chambersand a pavementmadefor the courtallaround;thirtychambersfacedthe pavement.
From the outsideto the innergatewere chambersfor the singersin the innercourt,[one of] whichwas at the sideof the northgate,with its fronttowardthe south,and oneat the sideof the south gatefacingtowardthe north.
He measuredits length,twentycubits,and the width,twentycubits,beforethe nave;and he saidto me, "Thisis the mostholy[place]."
The LORDsaidto Moses:"Tellyour brotherAaronthat he shall not enterat anytimeinto the holyplace insidethe veil,beforethe mercyseatwhichis on the ark,orhe will die;for I will appearin the cloudoverthe mercyseat.
Now when Moseswentinto the tentof meetingto speakwith Him, he heardthe voicespeakingto him from abovethe mercyseatthat was on the arkof the testimony,from betweenthe twocherubim,so He spoketo him.
