Then Hiramkingof Tyresentmessengersto Davidwith cedartreesand carpentersand stonemasons;and they builta housefor David.
ToisentJoramhis sonto KingDavidto greethim and blesshim, becausehe had foughtagainst Hadadezerand defeatedhim; for Hadadezerhad beenat warwith Toi.And [Joram] brought with him articlesof silver,of goldand of bronze.
They broughteverymanhis gift,articlesof silverand gold,garments,weapons,spices,horses,and mules,somuchyearby year.
So HiramgaveSolomonas muchas he desiredof the cedarand cypresstimber.
Now KingSolomonleviedforcedlaborersfrom allIsrael;and the forcedlaborersnumbered30000men.
Now Hiramkingof Tyresentmessengersto Davidwith cedartrees,masonsand carpenters,to builda housefor him.
Someof the Philistinesbroughtgiftsand silveras tributeto Jehoshaphat;the Arabiansalsobroughthim flocks,7700ramsand 7,700malegoats.
Then Solomonsent[word] to Huramthe kingof Tyre,saying,"As you dealtwith Davidmy fatherand senthim cedarsto buildhim a houseto dwellin, so do for me.
He was the rulerover allthe kingsfrom the EuphratesRivereven to the landof the Philistines,and as faras the borderof Egypt.
that mightykingshave ruledoverJerusalem,governingall[the provinces] beyondthe River,and that tribute,customand tollwere paidto them.
The daughterof Tyre[will come] with a gift;The richamong the peoplewill seekyour favor.
May he also rulefrom seato seaAnd from the Riverto the endsof the earth.
Whyhave You brokendownits hedges,So that allwho pass[that] waypickits [fruit]?
"For I will driveout nationsbeforeyou and enlargeyour borders,and nomanshall covetyour landwhen you goup threetimesa yearto appearbeforethe LORDyour God.

And it hadstrongbranches[fit] for sceptersof rulers,And its heightwas raisedabovethe cloudsSo that it was seenin its heightwith the massof its branches.
Thussaysthe LORD,"For threetransgressionsof Tyreand for fourI will not revokeits [punishment], Becausethey deliveredup an entirepopulationto EdomAnd did not remember[the] covenantof brotherhood.
"Waterwill flowfrom his buckets,And his seed[will be] by manywaters,And his kingshall be higherthanAgag,And his kingdomshall be exalted.
for he lovesour nationand it was he who builtus our synagogue."
"Ifit agreesto makepeacewith you and opensto you, then allthe peoplewho are foundin it shall becomeyour forcedlaborand shall serveyou.
But certain worthlessmensaid,"Howcan thisonedeliverus?" And they despisedhim and did not bringhim any present.But he keptsilent.
