And Gĕḥazi went on ahead of them, and laid the staff on the face of the child. But there was no voice and there was no hearing, so he went back to meet him, and reported to him, saying, “The child has not awakened.”

“Are You not our Elohim? You have driven out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Yisra’ĕl, and gave it to the seed of Aḇraham who loves You forever.
Thus יהוה spoke to Mosheh face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Yehoshua son of Nun, a young man, did not leave the Tent.
“But you, Yisra’ĕl, are My servant, Ya‛aqoḇ, whom I have chosen, the descendants of Aḇraham who loved Me,
and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth wake up, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches, everlasting abhorrence.
and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the set-apart ones who had fallen asleep were raised,
He said to them, “Go back, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they laughed at Him.
And coming in He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is sleeping.”
But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.
Therefore the taught ones said to Him, “Master, if he has fallen asleep he shall recover.”
But יהושע had spoken about his death, whereas they thought that He spoke of taking rest in sleep.
Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Master, see, he whom You love is sick.”
“He that has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the voice of the bridegroom. So this joy of mine is complete.
And kneeling down he cried out with a loud voice, “Master, do not hold this sin against them.” And having said this, he fell asleep.
Wake up to soberness, righteously, and do not sin, for some do not have the knowledge of Elohim. I speak this to your shame.
See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
That is why He says, “Wake up, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Messiah shall shine on you.”
And יהוה said to Mosheh, “See, you are about to sleep with your fathers. And this people shall rise and whore after the mighty ones of the strangers of the land into the midst of which they shall enter, and forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.
who died for us, so that we, whether awake or asleep, should live together with Him.
And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And He called him, “he who loves Elohim.”
