Jeremiah 20 - King James Bible with Strong Numbers

H6583Now PashurH1121the sonH564of ImmerH3548the priestH6496, who was also chiefH5057governorH1004in the houseH3068of the LORDH8085, heard[H8799] H3414that JeremiahH5012prophesied[H8738] H1697these things.

H6583Then PashurH5221smote[H8686] H3414JeremiahH5030the prophetH5414, and put[H8799] H4115him in the stocksH5945that were in the highH8179gateH1144of BenjaminH1004, which was by the houseH3068of the LORD.

H4283And it came to pass on the morrowH6583, that PashurH3318brought forth[H8686] H3414JeremiahH4115out of the stocksH559. Then said[H8799] H3414JeremiahH3068unto him, The LORDH7121hath not called[H8804] H8034thy nameH6583PashurH4036, but Magormissabib.

H559For thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH5414, Behold, I will make[H8802] H4032thee a terrorH157to thyself, and to all thy friends[H8802] H5307: and they shall fall[H8804] H2719by the swordH341of their enemies[H8802] H5869, and thine eyesH7200shall behold[H8802] H5414it : and I will give[H8799] H3063all JudahH3027into the handH4428of the kingH894of BabylonH1540, and he shall carry them captive[H8689] H894into BabylonH5221, and shall slay[H8689] H2719them with the sword.

H5414Moreover I will deliver[H8804] H2633all the strengthH5892of this cityH3018, and all the laboursH3366thereof, and all the precious thingsH214thereof, and all the treasuresH4428of the kingsH3063of JudahH5414will I give[H8799] H3027into the handH341of their enemies[H8802] H962, which shall spoil[H8804] H3947them, and take[H8804] H935them, and carry[H8689] H894them to Babylon.

H6583And thou, PashurH3427, and all that dwell[H8802] H1004in thine houseH3212shall go[H8799] H7628into captivityH935: and thou shalt come[H8799] H894to BabylonH4191, and there thou shalt die[H8799] H6912, and shalt be buried[H8735] H157there, thou, and all thy friends[H8802] H5012, to whom thou hast prophesied[H8738] H8267lies.

H3068O LORDH6601, thou hast deceived[H8765] H6601me, and I was deceived[H8735] H2388: thou art stronger[H8804] H3201than I, and hast prevailed[H8799] H7814: I am in derisionH3117dailyH3932, every one mocketh[H8802]  me.

H1767For sinceH1696I spake[H8762] H2199, I cried out[H8799] H7121, I cried[H8799] H2555violenceH7701and spoilH1697; because the wordH3068of the LORDH2781was made a reproachH7047unto me, and a derisionH3117, daily.

H559Then I said[H8804] H2142, I will not make mention[H8799] H1696of him, nor speak[H8762] H8034any more in his nameH3820. But his word was in mine heartH1197as a burning[H8802] H784fireH6113shut up[H8803] H6106in my bonesH3811, and I was weary[H8738] H3557with forbearing[H8771] H3201, and I could[H8799]  not stay .

H8085For I heard[H8804] H1681the defamingH7227of manyH4032, fearH5439on every sideH5046. Report[H8685] H5046, say they, and we will report[H8686] H582it. All my familiarsH7965 H8104watched[H8802] H6763for my halting[H8676] H6761 H6601, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed[H8792] H3201, and we shall prevail[H8799] H3947against him, and we shall take[H8799] H5360our revenge on him.

H3068But the LORDH1368is with me as a mightyH6184terrible oneH7291: therefore my persecutors[H8802] H3782shall stumble[H8735] H3201, and they shall not prevail[H8799] H3966: they shall be greatlyH954ashamed[H8804] H7919; for they shall not prosper[H8689] H5769: their everlastingH3639confusionH7911shall never be forgotten[H8735] .

H3068But, O LORDH6635of hostsH974, that triest[H8802] H6662the righteousH7200, and seest[H8802] H3629the reinsH3820and the heartH7200, let me see[H8799] H5360thy vengeanceH1540on them: for unto thee have I opened[H8765] H7379my cause.

H7891Sing[H8798] H3068unto the LORDH1984, praise[H8761] H3068ye the LORDH5337: for he hath delivered[H8689] H5315the soulH34of the poorH3027from the handH7489of evildoers[H8688] .

H779Cursed[H8803] H3117be the dayH3205wherein I was born[H8795] H3117: let not the dayH517wherein my motherH3205bare[H8804] H1288me be blessed[H8803] .

H779Cursed[H8803] H376be the manH1319who brought tidings[H8765] H1to my fatherH559, saying[H8800] H2145, A manH1121childH3205is born[H8795] H8055unto thee; making him very[H8763] H8055glad[H8765] .

H376And let that manH5892be as the citiesH3068which the LORDH2015overthrew[H8804] H5162, and repented[H8738] H8085not: and let him hear[H8804] H2201the cryH1242in the morningH8643, and the shoutingH6256at noontideH6672 ;

H4191Because he slew[H8790] H7358me not from the wombH517; or that my motherH6913might have been my graveH7358, and her wombH5769to be alwaysH2030great with me .

H3318Wherefore came I forth[H8804] H7358out of the wombH7200to see[H8800] H5999labourH3015and sorrowH3117, that my daysH3615should be consumed[H8799] H1322with shame?
