³ H559And say[H8804] H8085, Hear[H8798] H1697ye the wordH3068of the LORDH4428, O kingsH3063of JudahH3427, and inhabitants[H8802] H3389of JerusalemH559; Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH430, the GodH3478of IsraelH935; Behold, I will bring[H8688] H7451evilH4725upon this placeH8085, the which whosoever heareth[H8802] H241, his earsH6750shall tingle[H8799] .

⁴ H5800Because they have forsaken[H8804] H5234me, and have estranged[H8762] H4725this placeH6999, and have burned incense[H8762] H312in it unto otherH430godsH1, whom neither they nor their fathersH3045have known[H8804] H4428, nor the kingsH3063of JudahH4390, and have filled[H8804] H4725this placeH1818with the bloodH5355of innocents;

⁵ H1129They have built[H8804] H1116also the high placesH1168of BaalH8313, to burn[H8800] H1121their sonsH784with fireH5930for burnt offeringsH1168unto BaalH6680, which I commanded[H8765] H1696not, nor spake[H8765] H5927it, neither came[H8804] H3820it into my mind:

⁶ H3117Therefore, behold, the daysH935come[H8802] H5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH4725, that this placeH7121shall no more be called[H8735] H8612TophetH1516, nor The valleyH1121of the sonH2011of HinnomH1516, but The valleyH2028of slaughter.

⁷ H1238And I will make void[H8804] H6098the counselH3063of JudahH3389and JerusalemH4725in this placeH5307; and I will cause them to fall[H8689] H2719by the swordH6440beforeH341their enemies[H8802] H3027, and by the handsH1245of them that seek[H8764] H5315their livesH5038: and their carcasesH5414will I give[H8804] H3978to be meatH5775for the fowlsH8064of the heavenH929, and for the beastsH776of the earth.

⁸ H7760And I will make[H8804] H5892this cityH8047desolateH8322, and an hissingH5674; every one that passeth[H8802] H8074thereby shall be astonished[H8799] H8319and hiss[H8799] H4347because of all the plagues thereof.

⁹ H398And I will cause them to eat[H8689] H1320the fleshH1121of their sonsH1320and the fleshH1323of their daughtersH398, and they shall eat[H8799] H376every oneH1320the fleshH7453of his friendH4692in the siegeH4689and straitnessH341, wherewith their enemies[H8802] H1245, and they that seek[H8764] H5315their livesH6693, shall straiten[H8686]  them.

¹⁰ H7665Then shalt thou break[H8804] H1228the bottleH5869in the sightH582of the menH1980that go[H8802]  with thee,

¹¹ H559And shalt say[H8804] H559unto them, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH3602; Even soH7665will I break[H8799] H5971this peopleH5892and this cityH7665, as one breaketh[H8799] H3335a potter's[H8802] H3627vesselH3201, that cannot[H8799] H7495be made whole again[H8736] H6912: and they shall bury[H8799] H8612them in TophetH4725, till there be no placeH6912to bury[H8800] .

¹² H6213Thus will I do[H8799] H4725unto this placeH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH3427, and to the inhabitants[H8802] H5414thereof, and even make[H8800] H5892this cityH8612as Tophet:

¹³ H1004And the housesH3389of JerusalemH1004, and the housesH4428of the kingsH3063of JudahH2931, shall be defiledH4725as the placeH8612of TophetH1004, because of all the housesH1406upon whose roofsH6999they have burned incense[H8765] H6635unto all the hostH8064of heavenH5258, and have poured out[H8687] H5262drink offeringsH312unto otherH430gods.

¹⁴ H935Then came[H8799] H3414JeremiahH8612from TophetH3068, whither the LORDH7971had sent[H8804] H5012him to prophesy[H8736] H5975; and he stood[H8799] H2691in the courtH3068of the LORD'SH1004houseH559; and said[H8799] H5971to all the people,

¹⁵ H559Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH430, the GodH3478of IsraelH935; Behold, I will bring[H8688] H5892upon this cityH5892and upon all her townsH7451all the evilH1696that I have pronounced[H8765] H7185against it, because they have hardened[H8689] H6203their necksH8085, that they might not hear[H8800] H1697my words.
