¹² H376And oneH6030of the same place answered[H8799] H559and said[H8799] H1, But who is their fatherH4912? Therefore it became a proverbH7586, Is SaulH5030also among the prophets?

¹³ H3615And when he had made an end[H8762] H5012of prophesying[H8692] H935, he came[H8799] H1116to the high place.

¹⁴ H7586And Saul'sH1730uncleH559said[H8799] H5288unto him and to his servantH575, WhitherH1980went[H8804] H559ye? And he said[H8799] H1245, To seek[H8763] H860the assesH7200: and when we saw[H8799] H369that they were no whereH935, we came[H8799] H8050to Samuel.

¹⁵ H7586And Saul'sH1730uncleH559said[H8799] H5046, Tell[H8685] H8050me, I pray thee, what SamuelH559said[H8804]  unto you.

¹⁶ H7586And SaulH559said[H8799] H1730unto his uncleH5046, He told[H8689] H5046us plainly[H8687] H860that the assesH4672were found[H8738] H1697. But of the matterH4410of the kingdomH8050, whereof SamuelH559spake[H8804] H5046, he told[H8689]  him not.

¹⁷ H8050And SamuelH6817called[H8686] H5971the peopleH3068together unto the LORDH4709to Mizpeh;

¹⁸ H559And said[H8799] H1121unto the childrenH3478of IsraelH559, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH5927, I brought up[H8689] H3478IsraelH4714out of EgyptH5337, and delivered[H8686] H3027you out of the handH4714of the EgyptiansH3027, and out of the handH4467of all kingdomsH3905, and of them that oppressed[H8801]  you:

²⁰ H8050And when SamuelH7626had caused all the tribesH3478of IsraelH7126to come near[H8686] H7626, the tribeH1144of BenjaminH3920was taken[H8735] .

²¹ H7626When he had caused the tribeH1144of BenjaminH7126to come near[H8686] H4940by their familiesH4940, the familyH4309of MatriH3920was taken[H8735] H7586, and SaulH1121the sonH7027of KishH3920was taken[H8735] H1245: and when they sought[H8762] H4672him, he could not be found[H8738] .

²² H7592Therefore they enquired[H8799] H3068of the LORDH376further, if the manH935should yet come[H8804] H1988thitherH3068. And the LORDH559answered[H8799] H2244, Behold, he hath hid[H8737] H3627himself among the stuff.

²³ H7323And they ran[H8799] H3947and fetched[H8799] H3320him thence: and when he stood[H8691] H8432amongH5971the peopleH1361, he was higher[H8799] H5971than any of the peopleH7926from his shouldersH4605and upward.

²⁴ H8050And SamuelH559said[H8799] H5971to all the peopleH7200, See[H8804] H3068ye him whom the LORDH977hath chosen[H8804] H5971, that there is none like him among all the peopleH5971? And all the peopleH7321shouted[H8686] H559, and said[H8799] H2421, God save[H8799] H4428the king.

²⁵ H8050Then SamuelH1696told[H8762] H5971the peopleH4941the mannerH4410of the kingdomH3789, and wrote[H8799] H5612it in a bookH3240, and laid it up[H8686] H6440beforeH3068the LORDH8050. And SamuelH7971sentH5971all the peopleH7971away[H8762] H376, every manH1004to his house.

²⁶ H7586And SaulH1980also went[H8804] H1004homeH1390to GibeahH3212; and there went[H8799] H2428with him a band of menH3820, whose heartsH430GodH5060had touched[H8804] .

²⁷ H1121But the childrenH1100of BelialH559said[H8804] H3467, How shall this man save[H8686] H959us? And they despised[H8799] H935him, and brought[H8689] H4503him no presentsH2790. But he held his peace[H8688] .
