And about the ninth hour Iesus cried with a loud voice, saying: Eli Eli lama sabathani. That is to say, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?


There appeared unto him the Lord's angel, standing on the right side of the altar of odoures.


And straight way there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly soldiers, lauding God, and saying:


¶ While Peter mused in himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius, had made inquirance for Simon's house, and stood before the door.


While Peter thought on this vision, the spirit said unto him: Lo, men seek thee: arise therefore, get thee down,


¶ And Cornelius said: This day now. iiij. days I fasted, and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,


¶ On the morrow as they went on their journey and drew nye unto the city, Peter went up into the uppermost part of the house to pray, about the vj. hour.


And he shewed us, how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said to him: Send men to Ioppa, and call for Simon, named also Peter


For there stood by me this night the angel of God whose I am, and whom I serve,


¶ Peter and Ihon went up together into the temple at the ninth hour of prayer:


but the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison door, and brought them forth, and said:


¶ There was a certain disciple at Damascon named Ananias, to him said the Lord in a vision: Ananias. And he said: I am here Lord.


And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?


Are they not all spirits to do service, sent for to minister for their sakes, which shall be heirs of health?


and is more excellent then the angels, in as much as he hath by inheritance obtained an excellenter name then have they.
