For but a moment lasts his wrath; life in his favour lies: Weeping may for a night endure, at morn doth joy arise.


When with rebukes thou dost correct man for iniquity, Thou wastes his beauty like a moth: sure each man's vanity.


Like sheep for meat thou gavest us; 'mong heathen cast we be.


The heathen people under us he surely shall subdue; And he shall make the nations under our feet to bow.


They who are wicked into hell each one shall turned be; And all the nations that forget to seek the Lord most high.
