Now, you want to be gone, because you greatly longed for your father's house, but why have you stolen my gods?*


They left their images there; and David and his men took them away.


For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal. Against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.


For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.


and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.


The LORD of Armies, the God of Yisra'el, says: Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Par`oh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Par`oh, and those who trust in him:


I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.
