When the prophet spoke, Amaziah said to the prophet, “We never made you an adviser to the king! Be quiet! If you don’t be quiet, you will be killed.” The prophet became quiet, but then said, “God really has decided to destroy you. Why? Because you did those bad things and didn’t listen to my advice.”


Lord, be good to good people.\par Be good to people who have pure hearts.\par


Lord, you prepared my table\par in front of my enemies.\par You poured oil on my head. {\cf2\super [142]} \par My cup is full and spilling over.\par

If a person wants to be wise, then he is not angry if someone tells him when he does wrong. The person who hates to be told that he is wrong is stupid.


If a person does not get enough advice, then his plans will fail. But a person will succeed if he listens to the things wise people tell him.


A foolish person refuses to listen to his father’s advice. But a wise person listens closely when people try to teach him.


Some people show no respect for anything—those foolish people must be punished and forced to learn their lesson. But for a wise person, it’s enough just to tell them that they did wrong.


If a wise person gives you a warning, it is worth more than gold rings or jewelry made from the finest gold.


The commands and teachings from your parents are like a light that shows you the right way. They correct you and train you to follow the path to life.


It is better to be criticized by a wise man\par than to be praised by a foolish person.\par


“You must not hate your brother in your heart. If your neighbor does something wrong, then talk to him about it. But forgive him!


But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those people that do bad things to you.


Brothers and sisters, a person in your group might do something wrong. You people who are spiritual should go to the person who is sinning. You should help to make him right again. You should do this in a gentle way. But be careful! You might be tempted to sin, too.


“I correct and punish those people that I love. So start trying hard! Change your hearts and lives!
