David said to Gad, “I am really in trouble! But the Lord is very merciful. So let the Lord punish us. Don’t let my punishment come from people.”


\{I prayed for\} fairness.\par So I will see your face, Lord.\par And seeing you, Lord, {\cf2\super [93]} \par I will be fully satisfied.\par

I must be baptized with a \{different kind of\} baptism. {\cf2\super [230]} I feel very troubled until it is finished.


Then Jesus said to him, “Listen! What I say is true: Today you will be with me in Paradise {\cf2\super [380]} !”


The man that Jesus healed begged to go with Jesus. But Jesus sent the man away, saying,


The person that serves me must follow me. Then my servant will be with me everywhere I am. My Father will give honor to people that serve me.


It was almost time for the Jewish Passover {\cf2\super [207]} festival. Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world. It was now time for Jesus to go back to the Father. Jesus had always loved those people in the world who were his. Now was the time Jesus showed them his love the most.


After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back. Then I will take you with me, so that you can be where I am.


“Father, I want these people that you have given me to be with me in every place I am. I want them to see my glory. This is the glory you gave me because you loved me before the world was made.


So I say that we have confidence. And we really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord.


Our feelings of love for you have not stopped. It is you that have stopped your feelings of love for us.


But you people need me here in my body.


Brothers and sisters, you know that our visit to you was not a failure.


Also, we always thank God because of the way you accepted God’s message (teaching). You heard that message from us, and you accepted it like it was God’s words, not the words of men. And it really is God’s message (teaching). And that message works in you people who believe.


After that, we people who are still alive at that time will be gathered up with those people who have died. We will be taken up in the clouds and meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord forever.


My life is being given as an offering for God. The time has come for me to leave this life here.


Then I heard a voice from heaven. The voice said, “Write this: From now on, the dead people who were in the Lord when they died are blessed (happy).”
