So Micaiah answered, “I can see what will happen. The army of Israel will be scattered over the hills. They will be like sheep without anyone to lead them. This is what the Lord says, ‘These men have no leader. They should go home and not fight.’”

So Micaiah answered, “I can see what will happen. The army of Israel will be scattered over the hills. They will be like sheep without anyone to lead them. This is what the Lord says, ‘These men have no leader. They should go home and not fight.’”
Those people will be filled with fear when they see your strength. They will be as still as a rock until the Lord’s people pass by, until the people you have made pass by.
Then the people from Babylon will run away, like wounded deer. They will run like sheep that have no shepherd. Every person will turn and run back to his own country and people.
“Fall down in the dirt\par and sit there!\par Virgin daughter of the Chaldeans, {\cf2\super [409]} \par sit on the ground!\par You are not the ruler now!\par People will not think that you are\par a tender, delicate young lady anymore.\par
So the Lord All-Powerful,\par the God of Israel, says:\par ‘I will soon punish the king of Babylon\par and his country.\par I will punish him\par like I punished the king of Assyria.\par
Those people are acting like powerful lions.\par I will give a party for them.\par I will make them drunk.\par They will laugh and have a good time.\par And then they will sleep forever.\par They will never wake up.”\par
I will make Babylon’s wise men\par and important officials drunk.\par I will make the governors, officers,\par and soldiers drunk too.\par Then they will sleep forever.\par They will never wake up.”\par The King said these things.\par His name is the Lord All-Powerful.\par
Then all the people hid in caves and behind the rocks on the mountains. There were the kings of the world, the rulers, the army commanders, the rich people and the powerful people. Every person, slave and free, hid himself.
