I will send Assyria to fight against the people that do evil things. I am angry at those people, and I will command Assyria to fight against them. Assyria will defeat them and Assyria will take their wealth from them. Israel will become like dirt for Assyria to trample (walk on) in the streets.


That is what you said.\}\par But haven’t you heard \{what I said\}?\par ‘I (God) planned it long ago,\par from ancient times I planned it.\par And now, I made it happen.\par I let you tear down the strong cities\par and change them into piles of rocks.\par


If a person does not do what the Lord says,\par if he does not use his sword\par to kill those people,\par then bad things will happen\par to that person.\par
