The messengers said to Ahaziah, “A man came up to meet us. He told us to go back to the king who sent us, and tell him what the Lord says. The Lord says, ‘There is a God in Israel! So why did you send messengers to ask questions from Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron? Since you did this thing, you will not get up from your bed. You will die!’”
At that time, Hezekiah became sick and almost died. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to Hezekiah. Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “The Lord says, ‘Put your house in order, because you will die. You will not live!’”

Truly, goodness brings life. But evil people chase after evil and find death.

I myself will answer that person’s question. I will answer him even if he still has his filthy idols, even if he kept the things that made him sin, and even if he still worships those statues. I will speak to him in spite of all his filthy idols.
