When the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma,  he said to himself, ‘I will never again curse the ground  because of human beings, even though the inclination of the human heart is evil from youth onward.  And I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.

He made ten basins for washing and he put five on the right and five on the left.  The parts of the burnt offering were rinsed in them,  but the basin was used by the priests for washing.


Do not eat any of it raw or cooked in boiling  water, but only roasted  over fire #– #its head as well as its legs and inner organs.


Then burn the whole ram on the altar; it is a burnt offering to the Lord. It is a pleasing aroma,  a food offering to the Lord.


Take them from their hands and burn them on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the Lord; it is a food offering to the Lord.

‘Now this is the law of the grain offering:  Aaron’s sons will present it before the Lord in front of the altar.

For to God we are the fragrance  of Christ among those who are being saved  and among those who are perishing.


and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us,  a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.


Present the meat and blood of your burnt offerings on the altar of the Lord your God. The blood of your other sacrifices is to be poured out beside the altar of the Lord your God, but you may eat the meat.


But I have received everything in full,  and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied,  having received from Epaphroditus  what you provided #– #a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing  to God.
