This is the law of the sacrifice and libations, which the children of Aaron shall offer before the Lord, and before the altar.


Having first washed the entrails, and the feet, and the whole ram together he burnt upon the altar: because it was a holocaust of most sweet odour to the Lord, as he had commanded him.


He took them again from their hands, and burnt them upon the altar of holocaust: because it was the oblation of consecration, for a sweet odour of sacrifice to the Lord.

And you shall offer the other lamb in like manner in the evening according to all the rites of the morning sacrifice, and of the libations thereof: an oblation of most sweet odour to the Lord.


For we are the good odour of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish.


And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.


And shalt offer thy oblations, the flesh and the blood upon the altar of the Lord thy God. The blood of thy victims thou shalt pour on the altar: and the flesh thou thyself shalt eat.


But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
