The Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho,
you must drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you, destroy all their stone images and cast images, and demolish all their high places.
‘Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, and yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law #– #justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These things should have been done without neglecting the others.

You know that I did not hesitate to proclaim anything to you that was profitable and to teach you publicly and from house to house.
