7 Moses then summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, ‘Be strong and courageous, for you will go with  this people into the land the Lord swore to give to their ancestors.  You will enable them to take possession of it.

Be strong! Let’s prove ourselves strong for our people and for the cities of our God.  May the Lord’s will be done.’  ,


‘As for me, I am going the way of all of the earth.  Be strong and be a man,


Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the Lord commanded Moses for Israel.  Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or discouraged.


He said, ‘Don’t be afraid,  you who are  treasured by God.  Peace to you; be very strong! ’ As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’


Is the land fertile or unproductive?  Are there trees in it or not? Be courageous. Bring back some fruit from the land.’ It was the season for the first ripe grapes.


Make him stand before the priest Eleazar and the whole community, and commission  him in their sight.


for the law was given through Moses;  grace and truth  came through Jesus Christ.


Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength.


Joshua son of Nun, who attends you, will enter it. Encourage him, for he will enable Israel to inherit it.


See, I have set the land before you. Enter and take possession of the land  the Lord swore to give to your ancestors  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their future descendants.”


‘Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit,


But commission Joshua and encourage and strengthen him, for he will cross over ahead of the people and enable them to inherit this land that you will see.”


And when many troubles and afflictions come to them, this song will testify against them, because  their descendants will not have forgotten it. For I know what they are prone to do,  even before I bring them into the land I swore to give them.’


The Lord commissioned Joshua son of Nun, ‘Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I swore to them, and I will be with you.’


The Lord your God is the one who will cross ahead of you.  He will destroy these nations before you, and you will drive them out. Joshua is the one who will cross ahead of you, as the Lord has said.


Be strong and courageous;  don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For the Lord your God is the one who will go with you;  he will not leave you or abandon you.’


No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live.  I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or abandon you.


‘Be strong and courageous,  for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.
