Then the Lord said to me, ‘Even if Moses and Samuel should stand before me, my heart would not go out to these people. Send them from my presence, and let them go.

Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our houses to foreigners.
The land has become defiled, so I am punishing it for its iniquity, and the land will vomit out its inhabitants.
If you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it has vomited out the nations that were before you.
‘You are to keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out.
Get up and leave, for this is not your place of rest because defilement brings destruction – a grievous destruction!
