and the Horites  in the mountains of Seir, as far as El-paran  by the wilderness.


So Abram’s wife, Sarai, took Hagar, her Egyptian slave, and gave her to her husband, Abram, as a wife for him. This happened after Abram had lived in the land of Canaan for ten years.


And they  settled from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite Egypt as you go towards Asshur.  He  stayed near  all his relatives.


So Rebekah said to Isaac, ‘I’m sick of my life because of these Hethite girls.  If Jacob marries someone from around here,  like these Hethite girls, what good is my life? ’


Hadad and his men set out from Midian and went to Paran.  They took men with them from Paran and went to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt,  who gave Hadad a house, ordered that he be given food, and gave him land.


Jehoiada acquired two wives for him, and he was the father of sons and daughters.


Find wives for yourselves, and have sons and daughters. Find wives for your sons and give your daughters to men in marriage so that they may bear sons and daughters. Multiply there; do not decrease.


God comes from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran.  Selah His splendour covers the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise.


The Israelites travelled on from the Wilderness of Sinai, moving from one place to the next  until the cloud stopped in the Wilderness of Paran.


After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.


The men went back to Moses, Aaron, and the entire Israelite community in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh. They brought back a report for them and the whole community, and they showed them the fruit of the land.


Moses sent them from the Wilderness of Paran at the Lord’s command. All the men were leaders in Israel.


So, then, he who marries his fiancée does well, but he who does not marry will do better.


He went back and told his father and his mother, ‘I have seen a young Philistine woman in Timnah. Now get her for me as a wife.’


Samuel died,  and all Israel assembled to mourn for him,  and they buried him by his home in Ramah.  David then went down to the Wilderness of Paran.  ,
