"For thisreasonin onedayher plagueswill come,pestilenceand mourningand famine,and she will be burnedup with fire;for the LordGodwho judgesher is strong.

OnceGodhas spoken;TwiceI have heardthis:That powerbelongs to God;
In that daythe LORDwill punishLeviathanthe fleeingserpent,With His fierceand greatand mightysword,EvenLeviathanthe twistedserpent;And He will killthe dragonwho[lives] in the sea.
So the LORDcutsoffheadand tailfrom Israel,[Both] palmbranchand bulrushin a singleday.
"Behold,I am againstyou, O arrogantone," Declaresthe LordGODof hosts,"For your dayhas come,The timewhen I will punishyou.
"Their Redeemeris strong,the LORDof hostsis His name;He will vigorouslypleadtheir caseSothat He may bringrestto the earth,But turmoilto the inhabitantsof Babylon.
Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,"The broadwallof Babylonwill be completelyrazedAnd her highgateswill be seton fire;So the peopleswill toilfor nothing,And the nationsbecomeexhausted[only] for fire."
Fleefrom the midstof Babylon,And eachof you savehis life!Do not be destroyedin her punishment,For thisis the LORD'Stimeof vengeance;He is going to renderrecompenseto her.
The LORDuttersHis voicebeforeHis army;SurelyHis campis verygreat,For strongis he who carriesout His word.The dayof the LORDis indeedgreatand veryawesome,And who can endureit?
Ordo we provokethe Lordto jealousy?We are not strongerthan He, are we?
saying,"We give You thanks,O LordGod,the Almighty,who are and whowere, becauseYou have takenYour greatpowerand have begun to reign.
"And the tenhornswhichyou saw,and the beast,thesewill hatethe harlotand will makeher desolateand naked,and will eather fleshand will burnher up with fire.
"The womanwhomyou sawis the greatcity,which reignsoverthe kingsof the earth."
for in onehoursuch greatwealthhas been laid waste!'And everyshipmasterand everypassengerand sailor,and as manyas make their livingby the sea,stoodat a distance,
"And they threwduston their headsand were cryingout, weepingand mourning,saying,Woe,woe,the greatcity,in whichallwho hadshipsat seabecame richby her wealth,for in onehourshe has been laid waste!'
And a second timethey said,"Hallelujah!HER SMOKERISESUP FOREVERAND EVER."
