Becauseof your ragingagainstMe, And because your arrogancehas comeup to My ears,Therefore I will putMy hookin your nose,And My bridlein your lips,And I will turnyou backby the waywhichyou came.
O Godof my praise,Do not be silent!
Do not forgetthe voiceof Your adversaries,The uproarof those who riseagainst You which ascendscontinually.
Your adversarieshave roaredin the midstof Your meetingplace;They have setup their own standardsfor signs.
"Those who hatethe LORDwould pretendobedienceto Him, And their time[of punishment] would be forever.
The floodshave liftedup, O LORD,The floodshave liftedup their voice,The floodsliftup their poundingwaves.
Alas,the uproarof manypeoplesWho roarlike the roaringof the seas,And the rumblingof nationsWho rushon like the rumblingof mightywaters!
"Whomhave you reproachedand blasphemed?And againstwhomhave you raised[your] voiceAnd haughtilyliftedup your eyes?Againstthe HolyOneof Israel!

"They will fightagainstyou, but they will not overcomeyou, for I am with you to deliveryou," declaresthe LORD.
When Pilatesawthat he was accomplishingnothing,but ratherthat a riotwas starting,he tookwaterand washedhis handsin frontof the crowd,saying,"I aminnocentof this Man'sblood;see[to that] yourselves."
The crowdrose up togetheragainstthem, and the chief magistratestoretheir robesoffthem and proceeded to order[them] to be beaten with rods.
But the Jews,becoming jealousand taking alongsomewickedmenfrom the market place,formed a moband setthe cityin an uproar;and attackingthe houseof Jason,they were seekingto bringthem out to the people.
Thenallthe citywas provoked,and the peoplerushed together,and taking holdof Paulthey draggedhim out of the temple,and immediatelythe doorswere shut.
They listenedto him up to thisstatement,and [then] they raisedtheir voicesand said,"Awaywith such a fellowfrom the earth,for he should not be allowedto live!"
And as a greatdissensionwas developing,the commanderwas afraidPaulwould be torn to piecesby them and orderedthe troopsto go downand take him away from them by force,and bringhim into the barracks.
So Midianwas subduedbeforethe sonsof Israel,and they did not liftup their headsanymore.And the landwas undisturbedfor fortyyearsin the daysof Gideon.
