O God,whyhave You rejected[us] forever?Why does Your angersmokeagainst the sheepof Your pasture?
O LORDGod[of] hosts,Howlongwill You be angrywith the prayerof Your people?
You have fedthem with the breadof tears,And You have madethem to drinktearsin largemeasure.
Will You be angrywith us forever?Will You prolongYour angerto allgenerations?
Howlong,O LORD?Will You hideYourself forever?Will Your wrathburnlikefire?
Rememberwhatmy spanof lifeis; For whatvanityYou have createdallthe sonsof men!
Do not be angrybeyondmeasure,O LORD,Norrememberiniquityforever;Behold,looknow,allof us are Your people.
UnlessYou have utterlyrejectedus [And] are exceedinglyangrywith us.
thereforethussaysthe LordGOD,"Surelyin the fireof My jealousyI have spokenagainstthe restof the nations,and againstallEdom,whoappropriatedMy landfor themselves as a possessionwith wholeheartedjoy[and] with scornof soul,to driveit out for a prey."
Whois a GodlikeYou, who pardonsiniquityAnd passesoverthe rebelliousactof the remnantof His possession?He does not retainHis angerforever,BecauseHe delightsin unchanginglove.
Neithertheir silvernortheir goldWill be ableto deliverthem On the dayof the LORD'Swrath;And allthe earthwill be devouredIn the fireof His jealousy,For He will makea completeend,Indeeda terrifyingone, Of allthe inhabitantsof the earth.
"Thereforewaitfor Me," declaresthe LORD,"For the daywhen I riseup as a witness.Indeed,My decisionis to gathernations,To assemblekingdoms,To pourout on them My indignation,AllMy burninganger;For allthe earthwill be devouredBy the fireof My zeal.
Then the angelof the LORDsaid,"O LORDof hosts,howlongwill You havenocompassionfor Jerusalemand the citiesof Judah,with whichYou have beenindignanttheseseventyyears?"
"The LORDshall neverbe willingto forgivehim, but ratherthe angerof the LORDand His jealousywill burnagainst that man,and everycursewhich is writtenin thisbookwill reston him, and the LORDwill blotout his namefrom underheaven.
"They madeHim jealouswith strange[gods]; With abominationsthey provokedHim to anger.
For a fireis kindledin My anger,And burnsto the lowestpartof Sheol,And consumesthe earthwith its yield,And setson firethe foundationsof the mountains.
and they criedout with a loudvoice,saying,"How long,O Lord,holyand true,will You refrainfrom judgingand avengingour bloodon thosewho dwellon the earth?"
