You giveus as sheepto be eatenAnd have scatteredus among the nations.
The LORDknowsthe thoughtsof man,That they are a [mere] breath.
He was oppressedand He was afflicted,Yet He did not openHis mouth;Like a lambthat is ledto slaughter,And like a sheepthat is silentbeforeits shearers,So He did not openHis mouth.
"I, the LORD,searchthe heart,I testthe mind,Even to giveto eachmanaccording to his ways,According to the resultsof his deeds.
"But allthese thingsthey will doto you for My name'ssake,becausethey do not knowthe One who sentMe.
Justas it is written,"FOR YOUR SAKEWE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATHALLDAYLONG; WE WERE CONSIDEREDAS SHEEPTO BE SLAUGHTERED."
