You have turnedfor me my mourninginto dancing;You have loosedmy sackclothand girdedme with gladness,
Then allhis sonsand allhis daughtersaroseto comforthim, but he refusedto be comforted.And he said,"SurelyI will godownto Sheolin mourningfor my son."So his fatherweptfor him.
Then Israelsaid,"It is enough;my sonJosephis stillalive.I will goand seehim beforeI die."
And Davidwas dancingbeforethe LORDwith all[his] might,and Davidwas wearinga linenephod.
"O our God,will You not judgethem? For we are powerlessbeforethisgreatmultitudewho are comingagainstus; nordo we knowwhatto do,but our eyesare on You."
Jehoshaphatwas afraidand turnedhis attentionto seekthe LORD,and proclaimeda fastthroughoutallJudah.
Shouldevilcomeupon us, the sword,[or] judgment,or pestilence,or famine,we will standbeforethishouseand beforeYou (for Your nameis in thishouse)and cryto You in our distress,and You will hearand deliver[us].'
Then he saidto them, "Go,eatof the fat,drinkof the sweet,and sendportionsto him who has nothingprepared;for this dayis holyto our Lord.Do not be grieved,for the joyof the LORDis your strength."
because on those daysthe Jewsridthemselvesof their enemies,and [it was a] monthwhichwas turnedfor them from sorrowinto gladnessand from mourninginto a holiday;that they should makethem daysof feastingand rejoicingand sendingportions[of food] to oneanotherand giftsto the poor.
Let them praiseHis namewith dancing;Let them singpraisesto Him with timbreland lyre.
PraiseHim with timbreland dancing;PraiseHim with stringedinstrumentsand pipe.
Hear,O LORD,when I crywith my voice,And be graciousto me and answerme.
For His angeris but for a moment,His favoris for a lifetime;Weepingmay lastfor the night,But a shoutof joy[comes] in the morning.
You have putgladnessin my heart,Morethanwhentheir grainand newwineabound.
A timeto weepand a timeto laugh;A timeto mournand a timeto dance.
Thereforea strongpeoplewill glorifyYou; Citiesof ruthlessnationswill revereYou.
He will swallowup deathfor alltime,And the LordGODwill wipetearsawayfrom allfaces,And He will removethe reproachof His peoplefrom allthe earth;For the LORDhas spoken.
I will rejoicegreatlyin the LORD,My soulwill exultin my God;For He has clothedme with garmentsof salvation,He has wrappedme with a robeof righteousness,As a bridegroomdeckshimself with a garland,And as a brideadornsherself with her jewels.
To grantthose who mourn[in] Zion,Givingthem a garlandinsteadof ashes,The oilof gladnessinsteadof mourning,The mantleof praiseinsteadof a spiritof fainting.So they will be calledoaksof righteousness,The plantingof the LORD,that He may be glorified.
"AgainI will buildyou and you will be rebuilt,O virginof Israel!Againyou will takeup your tambourines,And goforthto the dancesof the merrymakers.
So Jehoiachin changedhis prisonclothes,and hadhis mealsin the king's presenceregularlyallthe daysof his life.
"But the fathersaidto his slaves,'Quicklybringout the bestrobeand putit on him, and puta ringon his handand sandalson his feet;
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, that you will weepand lament,but the worldwill rejoice;you will grieve,but your griefwill be turnedinto joy.
and He will wipe awayeverytearfrom their eyes;and there will nolongerbe [any] death;there will nolongerbe [any] mourning,orcrying,orpain;the first thingshave passed away."
