Then the LORDspoketo Aaron,"Now behold,I Myselfhave givenyou chargeof My offerings,even allthe holygifts of the sonsof IsraelI have giventhem to you as a portionand to your sonsas a perpetualallotment.
The moneyfrom the guiltofferingsand the moneyfrom the sinofferingswas not broughtinto the houseof the LORD;it was for the priests.
Also he commandedthe peoplewho livedin Jerusalemto givethe portiondue to the priestsand the Levites,that they might devotethemselves to the lawof the LORD.
As soon as the orderspread,the sonsof Israelprovidedin abundancethe firstfruitsof grain,newwine,oil,honeyand of allthe produceof the field;and they broughtin abundantlythe titheof all.
"They shall be on Aaronand on his sonswhen they enterthe tentof meeting,orwhen they approachthe altarto ministerin the holyplace, so that they do not incurguiltand die.It [shall be] a statuteforeverto him and to his descendantsafterhim.
"Then you shall takesomeof the bloodthat is on the altarand someof the anointingoil,and sprinkle[it] on Aaronand on his garmentsand on his sonsand on his sons'garmentswith him; so he and his garmentsshall be consecrated,as well as his sonsand his sons'garmentswith him.
"It shall be for Aaronand his sonsas [their] portionforeverfrom the sonsof Israel,for it is a heaveoffering;and it shall be a heaveofferingfrom the sonsof Israelfrom the sacrificesof their peaceofferings,[even] their heaveofferingto the LORD.
"The holygarmentsof Aaronshall be for his sonsafterhim, that in them they may be anointedand ordained.
"You shall putthe holygarmentson Aaronand anointhim and consecratehim, that he may ministeras a priestto Me.
and you shall anointthem evenas you have anointedtheir father,that they may ministeras prieststo Me; and their anointingwill qualifythem for a perpetualpriesthoodthroughout their generations."
So it will be in that day,that his burdenwill be removedfrom your shouldersand his yokefrom your neck,and the yokewill be brokenbecauseof fatness.
The priestwho is the highestamonghis brothers,on whoseheadthe anointingoilhas been pouredand who has been consecratedto wearthe garments,shall not uncoverhis headnortearhis clothes;
The priestshall then wavethem with the breadof the firstfruitsfor a waveofferingwith twolambsbeforethe LORD;they are to be holyto the LORDfor the priest.
What is leftof it Aaronand his sonsare to eat.It shall be eatenas unleavenedcakesin a holyplace;they are to eatit in the courtof the tentof meeting.
Everymaleamong the sonsof Aaronmay eatit; it is a permanentordinancethroughout your generations,from the offeringsby fireto the LORD.Whoevertouchesthem will becomeconsecrated.'"
"Thisis the offeringwhichAaronand his sonsare to presentto the LORDon the daywhen he is anointed;the tenthof an ephahof fineflouras a regulargrain offering,halfof it in the morningand halfof it in the evening.
The priestwho offersit for sinshall eatit. It shall be eatenin a holyplace,in the courtof the tentof meeting.
Of this he shall presentoneof everyofferingas a contributionto the LORD;it shall belongto the priestwho sprinklesthe bloodof the peaceofferings.
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
Everymaleamong the priestsmay eatof it. It shall be eatenin a holyplace;it is mostholy.
So Mosestooksomeof the anointingoiland someof the bloodwhichwas on the altarand sprinkledit on Aaron,on his garments,on his sons,and on the garmentsof his sonswith him; and he consecratedAaron,his garments,and his sons,and the garmentsof his sonswith him.
"Thisshall be yours from the mostholy[gifts reserved] from the fire;everyofferingof theirs, even everygrain offeringand everysinofferingand everyguiltoffering,whichthey shall renderto Me, shall be mostholyfor you and for your sons.
Also everycontributionpertaining to allthe holy[gifts] of the sonsof Israel,whichthey offerto the priest,shall be his.
Do you not knowthat thosewho performsacred serviceseatthe [food] of the temple,[and] thosewho attend regularlyto the altarhave their sharefrom the altar?
then it shall comeabout that the placein whichthe LORDyour Godwill choosefor His nameto dwell,thereyou shall bringallthat I commandyou: your burntofferingsand your sacrifices,your tithesand the contributionof your hand,and allyour choicevotiveofferingswhichyou will vowto the LORD.
"Thereyou shall bringyour burntofferings,your sacrifices,your tithes,the contributionof your hand,your votiveofferings,your freewillofferings,and the firstbornof your herdand of your flock.
"The Leviticalpriests,the wholetribeof Levi,shall havenoportionor inheritancewith Israel;they shall eatthe LORD'Sofferingsby fireand His portion.
"You shall saybeforethe LORDyour God,'I have removedthe sacred[portion] from [my] house,and alsohave givenit to the Leviteand the alien,the orphanand the widow,according to allYour commandmentswhichYou have commandedme; I have not transgressedor forgottenanyof Your commandments.
"YOU HAVE LOVEDRIGHTEOUSNESSAND HATEDLAWLESSNESS;THEREFOREGOD,YOUR GOD,HAS ANOINTEDYOU WITH THE OILOF GLADNESSABOVEYOUR COMPANIONS."
But you havean anointingfrom the Holy One,and you allknow.
As for you, the anointingwhichyou receivedfrom Him abidesin you, and you havenoneedfor anyoneto teachyou; but as His anointingteachesyou aboutall things,and is true and is not a lie,and justas it has taughtyou, you abidein Him.
