Then the LORDcamedownin the cloudand spoketo him; and He tookof the Spiritwhowas upon him and placed[Him] upon the seventyelders.And when the Spiritrestedupon them, they prophesied.But they did not do[it] again.
Now when the sonsof the prophetswho[were] at Jerichoopposite[him] sawhim, they said,"The spiritof Elijahrestson Elisha."And they cameto meethim and bowedthemselves to the groundbefore him.
"You gaveYour goodSpiritto instructthem, Your mannaYou did not withholdfrom their mouth,And You gavethem waterfor their thirst.
He spoketo them in the pillarof cloud;They keptHis testimoniesAnd the statutethat He gavethem.
"But now,ifYou will, forgivetheir sin--and ifnot, pleaseblotme out from Your bookwhichYou have written!"
The LORDdescendedin the cloudand stoodtherewith him as he calledupon the nameof the LORD.
For throughout alltheir journeys,the cloudof the LORDwas on the tabernacleby day,and there was firein it by night,in the sightof allthe houseof Israel.
Then His peoplerememberedthe daysof old,of Moses.Whereis He who broughtthem up out of the seawith the shepherdsof His flock?Whereis He who putHis HolySpiritin the midstof them,
Standingin frontof them were seventyeldersof the houseof Israel,with Jaazaniahthe sonof Shaphanstandingamongthem, eachmanwith his censerin his handand the fragranceof the cloudof incenserising.
"Then I will comedownand speakwith you there,and I will takeof the Spiritwhois upon you, and will put[Him] upon them; and they shall bearthe burdenof the peoplewith you, so that you will not bear[it] all alone.
Then the LORDcamedownin a pillarof cloudand stoodat the doorwayof the tent,and He calledAaronand Miriam.When they had bothcomeforward,
Then Mosesaroseand wentto Dathanand Abiram,with the eldersof Israelfollowinghim,
And Balaamliftedup his eyesand sawIsraelcampingtribeby tribe;and the Spiritof Godcameupon him.
So the LORDsaidto Moses,"TakeJoshuathe sonof Nun,a manin whomis the Spirit,and layyour handon him;
Oneof them namedAgabusstoodup and [began] to indicateby the Spiritthat there would certainlybe a greatfaminealloverthe world.And thistook placein the [reign] of Claudius.
and the spiritsof prophetsare subjectto prophets;
Everygoodthing givenand everyperfectgiftis from above,coming downfrom the Fatherof lights,with whomthereis novariationorshiftingshadow.
for noprophecywas evermadeby an act of humanwill,but menmovedby the HolySpiritspokefrom God.
The Spiritof the LORDcameupon him, and he judgedIsrael.When he wentout to war,the LORDgaveCushan-rishathaimkingof Mesopotamiainto his hand,so that he prevailedoverCushan-rishathaim.
When they cameto the hillthere,behold,a groupof prophetsmethim; and the Spiritof Godcameupon him mightily,so that he prophesiedamongthem.
