My strengthis driedup like a potsherd,And my tonguecleavesto my jaws;And You layme in the dustof death.
He was oppressedand He was afflicted,Yet He did not openHis mouth;Like a lambthat is ledto slaughter,And like a sheepthat is silentbeforeits shearers,So He did not openHis mouth.
"Then afterthe sixty-twoweeksthe Messiahwill be cutoffand havenothing,and the peopleof the princewho is to comewill destroythe cityand the sanctuary.And its end[will come] with a flood;even to the endthere will be war;desolationsare determined.
"Awake,O sword,againstMy Shepherd,And againstthe man,My Associate,"Declaresthe LORDof hosts."Strikethe Shepherdthat the sheepmay be scattered;And I will turnMy handagainstthe littleones.
From that timeJesusbeganto showHis disciplesthat He mustgoto Jerusalem,and suffermany thingsfrom the eldersand chief priestsand scribes,and be killed,and be raisedup on the thirdday.
As they were coming downfrom the mountain,Jesuscommandedthem, saying, "Tellthe visionto no oneuntilthe Sonof Manhas risenfrom the dead."
and will handHim over to the Gentilesto mockand scourgeand crucify[Him], and on the thirddayHe will be raisedup."
and said,"Sir,we rememberthat when He was stillalivethat deceiversaid,AfterthreedaysI [am to] rise again.'
And He beganto teachthem that the Sonof Manmustsuffermany thingsand be rejectedby the eldersand the chief priestsand the scribes,and be killed,and afterthreedaysrise again.
From therethey wentout and [began] to gothroughGalilee,and He did not wantanyoneto know[about it].
"But becauseI have saidthese thingsto you, sorrowhas filledyour heart.
Jesusansweredthem, "Destroythistemple,and in threedaysI will raiseit up."
