For the LORDhas builtup Zion;He has appearedin His glory.
For the LORDMostHighis to be feared,A greatKingoverallthe earth.
He subduespeoplesunderus And nationsunderour feet.
Godreignsoverthe nations,Godsitson His holythrone.
Beautifulin elevation,the joyof the wholeearth,Is MountZion[in] the farnorth,The cityof the greatKing.
O God,[You are] awesomefrom Your sanctuary.The Godof IsraelHimselfgivesstrengthand powerto the people.Blessedbe God!
He will cutoffthe spiritof princes;He is fearedby the kingsof the earth.
For the LORDis a greatGodAnd a greatKingaboveallgods,
For thussaysthe highand exaltedOne Who livesforever,whose nameis Holy,"I dwell[on] a highand holyplace, And [also] with the contriteand lowlyof spiritIn order to revivethe spiritof the lowlyAnd to revivethe heartof the contrite.
But the LORDis the true God;He is the livingGodand the everlastingKing.At His wraththe earthquakes,And the nationscannotendureHis indignation.
"As I live,"declaresthe KingWhose nameis the LORDof hosts,"Surelyone shall come[who looms up] like Taboramong the mountains,Or like Carmelby the sea.
"Cursedbe the one who doesthe LORD'Sworknegligently,And cursedbe the one who restrainshis swordfrom blood.
"Moabhas been destroyedand men have goneup to his cities;His choicestyoungmenhave also gonedownto the slaughter,"Declaresthe King,whose nameis the LORDof hosts.
"NowI, Nebuchadnezzar,praise,exaltand honorthe Kingof heaven,for allHis worksare true and His waysjust,and He is ableto humblethose whowalkin pride."
I prayedto the LORDmy Godand confessedand said,"Alas,O Lord,the greatand awesomeGod,who keepsHis covenantand lovingkindnessfor those who loveHim and keepHis commandments,
The LORDwill be terrifyingto them, for He will starveallthe godsof the earth;and allthe coastlandsof the nationswill bowdownto Him, everyonefrom his [own] place.
And the LORDwill be kingoverallthe earth;in that daythe LORDwill be [the only] one,and His name[the only] one.
"For from the risingof the sunevento its setting,My name[will be] greatamong the nations,and in everyplaceincenseis going to be offeredto My name,and a grain offering[that is] pure;for My name[will be] greatamong the nations,"saysthe LORDof hosts.
"But whenyou presentthe blindfor sacrifice,is it not evil?And whenyou presentthe lameand sick,is it not evil?Why not offerit to your governor?Would he be pleasedwith you? Orwould he receiveyou kindly?"saysthe LORDof hosts.
"And nowthiscommandmentis for you, O priests.
"You are cursedwith a curse,for you are robbingMe, the wholenation[of you]!
and will cut him in piecesand assignhim a placewith the hypocrites;in that placetherewill be weepingand gnashingof teeth.
orby the earth,for it is the footstoolof His feet,orby Jerusalem,for it is THE CITYOF THE GREATKING.
"She has donewhatshe could;she has anointedMy bodybeforehandfor the burial.
the masterof that slavewill comeon a daywhenhe does not expect[him] and at an hourhe does not know,and will cut him in pieces,and assignhim a placewith the unbelievers.
For ifthe readinessis present,it is acceptableaccordingto what [a person] has,not accordingto what he does not have.
"Ifyou are not carefulto observeallthe wordsof thislawwhich are writtenin thisbook,to fearthishonoredand awesomename,the LORDyour God,
whichHe will bringabout at the propertime--He who is the blessedand onlySovereign,the Kingof kingsand Lordof lords,
for our Godis a consumingfire.
"Whowill not fear,O Lord,and glorifyYour name?For You aloneare holy;For ALLTHE NATIONSWILL COMEAND WORSHIPBEFOREYOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTSHAVE BEEN REVEALED."
"But for the cowardlyand unbelievingand abominableand murderersand immoral personsand sorcerersand idolatersand allliars,their part[will be] in the lakethat burnswith fireand brimstone,whichis the seconddeath."
