for he hadan onlydaughter,abouttwelveyearsold, and she was dying.But as He went,the crowdswere pressing againstHim.
Betweenmorningand eveningthey are brokenin pieces;Unobserved,they perishforever.
For whoknowswhatis goodfor a manduring [his] lifetime,[during] the fewyearsof his futilelife?He will spendthem like a shadow.For whocan tella manwhatwill be afterhim underthe sun?
"Sonof man,behold,I am about to takefrom you the desireof your eyeswith a blow;but you shall not mournand you shall not weep,and your tearsshall not come.
As for you, sonof man,will [it] not be on the daywhen I takefrom them their stronghold,the joyof their pride,the desireof their eyesand their heart'sdelight,their sonsand their daughters,
"I will pourout on the houseof Davidand on the inhabitantsof Jerusalem,the Spiritof graceand of supplication,so that they will lookon Me whomthey have pierced;and they will mournfor Him, as one mournsfor an onlyson,and they will weepbitterlyoverHim like the bitterweepingovera firstborn.
And He went offwith him; and a largecrowdwas followingHim and pressingin on Him.
Nowas He approachedthe gateof the city,a deadman was being carriedout, the onlysonof his mother,and she was a widow;and a sizeablecrowdfrom the citywas with her.
And there camea mannamedJairus,and he was an officialof the synagogue;and he fellat Jesus'feet,and [began] to imploreHim to cometo his house;
And a womanwho hada hemorrhagefor twelveyears,and couldnot be healedby anyone,
And Jesussaid,"Whois the one who touchedMe?" And while they were alldenyingit, Petersaid,"Master,the peopleare crowdingand pressingin on You."
Therefore,justas throughonemansinenteredinto the world,and deaththroughsin,and sodeathspreadto allmen,becauseallsinned--
