"But a Samaritan,who was on a journey,cameupon him; and when he sawhim, he felt compassion,
and forgiveYour peoplewhohave sinnedagainst You and alltheir transgressionswhichthey have transgressedagainst You, and makethem [objects of] compassionbeforethose who have takenthem captive,that they may havecompassionon them

ThesetwelveJesussentout after instructingthem: "Do not goin [the] wayof [the] Gentiles,and do not enter[any] cityof the Samaritans;
Shouldyou not alsohave hadmercyon your fellow slave,in the same waythat I had mercyon you?'
"Likewisea Levitealso,when he cameto the placeand sawhim, passed by on the other side.
and cameto him and bandagedup his wounds,pouringoiland wineon [them]; and he puthim on his ownbeast,and broughthim to an innand took careof him.
When the Lordsawher, He felt compassionfor her, and saidto her, "Do not weep."
Thereforethe Samaritanwomansaidto Him, "Howis it that You, beinga Jew,askme for a drinksince I ama Samaritanwoman?"(For Jewshavenodealingswith Samaritans.)
The Jewsansweredand saidto Him, "Do we not sayrightlythat You are a Samaritanand havea demon?"
