So the kingconsulted,and madetwogoldencalves,and he saidto them, "It is toomuchfor you to goup to Jerusalem;beholdyour gods,O Israel,that broughtyou up from the landof Egypt."
whateverprayeror supplicationis madeby anyman[or] by allYour peopleIsrael,eachknowingthe afflictionof his own heart,and spreadinghis handstowardthishouse;

When I heardabout thismatter,I toremy garmentand my robe,and pulledsomeof the hairfrom my headand my beard,and satdownappalled.
Havethe workersof wickednessnoknowledge,Who eatup My people[as though] they atebreadAnd have not calledupon God?
Wherewill you be strickenagain,[As] you continuein [your] rebellion?The wholeheadis sickAnd the wholeheartis faint.
Woeto those who callevilgood,and goodevil;Who substitutedarknessfor lightand lightfor darkness;Who substitutebitterfor sweetand sweetfor bitter!
The headis the elderand honorableman, And the prophetwho teachesfalsehoodis the tail.
"As for you, sonof man,takea sharpsword;takeand useit [as] a barber'srazoron your headand beard.Then takescalesfor weighingand dividethe hair.
"But ifthe brightspotremainsin its placeand has not spreadin the skin,but is dim,it is the swellingfrom the burn;and the priestshall pronouncehim clean,for it is [only] the scarof the burn.
then the priestshall lookat the infection,and ifit appearsto be deeperthanthe skinand there is thinyellowishhairin it, then the priestshall pronouncehim unclean;it is a scale,it is leprosyof the headorof the beard.
Her leaderspronouncejudgmentfor a bribe,Her priestsinstructfor a priceAnd her prophetsdivinefor money.Yet they leanon the LORDsaying,"Is not the LORDin our midst?Calamitywill not comeupon us."
"But ifyour eyeis bad,your wholebodywill be full of darkness.Ifthenthe lightthat is in you is darkness,how greatis the darkness!
