Then the LORDsaidto Joshua,"Do not be afraidbecauseof them, for tomorrowat thistimeI will deliverallof them slainbeforeIsrael;you shall hamstringtheir horsesand burntheir chariotswith fire."
Davidcapturedfrom him 1,700horsemenand 20,000footsoldiers;and Davidhamstrungthe chariothorses,but reserved[enough] of them for 100chariots.
So he answered,"Do not fear,for those whoare with us are morethanthose whoare with them."
Tomorrowgodownagainstthem. Behold,they will comeup by the ascentof Ziz,and you will findthem at the endof the valleyin frontof the wildernessof Jeruel.

Woeto those who godownto Egyptfor help[And] relyon horses,And trustin chariotsbecausethey are manyAnd in horsemenbecausethey are verystrong,But they do not lookto the HolyOneof Israel,norseekthe LORD!
"Then those who inhabitthe citiesof Israelwill goout and makefireswith the weaponsand burn[them], both shieldsand bucklers,bowsand arrows,warclubsand spears,and for sevenyearsthey will makefiresof them.

So allof thesekingshaving agreedto meet,cameand encampedtogetherat the watersof Merom,to fightagainstIsrael.
So Joshuaand allthe peopleof warwith him cameupon them suddenlyby the watersof Merom,and attackedthem.
Joshuadidto them as the LORDhad toldhim; he hamstrungtheir horsesand burnedtheir chariotswith fire.
Then Joshuasaidto the people,"Consecrateyourselves, for tomorrowthe LORDwill dowondersamongyou."
and Phinehasthe sonof Eleazar,Aaron'sson,stoodbeforeit to [minister] in thosedays),saying,"Shall I yetagaingoout to battleagainstthe sonsof my brotherBenjamin,orshall I cease?"And the LORDsaid,"Goup, for tomorrowI will deliverthem into your hand."
Now the samenightit cameabout that the LORDsaidto him, "Arise,godownagainst the camp,for I have givenit into your hands.
They saidto the messengerswho had come,"Thusyou shall sayto the menof Jabesh-gilead,'Tomorrow,by the time the sunis hot,you will havedeliverance.'"So the messengerswentand toldthe menof Jabesh;and they were glad.
