"When he fillshis belly,[God] will sendHis fierceangeron him And will rain[it] on him while he is eating.
Then the LORDrainedon Sodomand Gomorrahbrimstoneand firefrom the LORDout of heaven,
[Though] he desiresit and will not letit go,But holdsit in his mouth,
[Yet] his foodin his stomachis changedTo the venomof cobraswithinhim.
Upon the wickedHe will rainsnares;Fireand brimstoneand burningwindwill be the portionof their cup.
Mosesstretchedout his stafftowardthe sky,and the LORDsentthunderand hail,and firerandown to the earth.And the LORDrainedhailon the landof Egypt.
My mindreels,horroroverwhelmsme; The twilightI longedfor has been turnedfor me into trembling.
"Then I will turnyour festivalsinto mourningAnd allyour songsinto lamentation;And I will bringsackclothon everyone'sloinsAnd baldnesson everyhead.And I will makeit like [a time of] mourningfor an onlyson,And the endof it will be like a bitterday.
"Ifyou do not listen,and ifyou do not takeit to heartto givehonorto My name,"saysthe LORDof hosts,"then I will sendthe curseupon you and I will curseyour blessings;and indeed,I have cursedthem [already], becauseyou are not taking[it] to heart.
"Sayto the people,Consecrateyourselves for tomorrow,and you shall eatmeat;for you have weptin the earsof the LORD,saying,"Ohthat someonewould give us meatto eat!For we were well-offin Egypt."Therefore the LORDwill giveyou meatand you shall eat.
While the meatwas stillbetweentheir teeth,beforeit was chewed,the angerof the LORDwas kindledagainst the people,and the LORDstruckthe peoplewith a verysevereplague.
