"Have the gatesof deathbeen revealedto you, Or have you seenthe gatesof deepdarkness?
"When a cloudvanishes,it is gone,Sohe who goesdownto Sheoldoes not comeup.
For as highas the heavensare abovethe earth,So greatis His lovingkindnesstowardthose who fearHim.
Let them praisethe nameof the LORD,For His namealoneis exalted;His gloryis aboveearthand heaven.
Your righteousnessis like the mountainsof God;Your judgmentsare [like] a greatdeep.O LORD,You preservemanand beast.
Whohas ascendedinto heavenand descended?Whohas gatheredthe windin His fists?Whohas wrappedthe watersin His garment?Whohas establishedallthe endsof the earth?Whatis His nameor His son'sname?Surelyyou know!
