"Goto the houseof the Rechabitesand speakto them, and bringthem into the houseof the LORD,into oneof the chambers,and givethem wineto drink."
He also builtthe storiesagainstthe wholehouse,each fivecubitshigh;and they were fastenedto the housewith timbersof cedar.
The doorwayfor the lowestsidechamber[was] on the rightsideof the house;and they would goup by windingstairsto the middle[story], and from the middleto the third.
The familiesof scribeswho livedat Jabez[were] the Tirathites,the Shimeathites[and] the Sucathites.Thoseare the Keniteswho camefrom Hammath,the fatherof the houseof Rechab.
For their officeis to assistthe sonsof Aaronwith the serviceof the houseof the LORD,in the courtsand in the chambersand in the purifyingof allholythings,even the workof the serviceof the houseof God,
and the planof allthat he hadin mind,for the courtsof the houseof the LORD,and for allthe surroundingrooms,for the storehousesof the houseof Godand for the storehousesof the dedicatedthings;
for the fourchiefgatekeeperswho[were] Levites,were in an office of trust,and were overthe chambersand overthe treasuriesin the houseof God.
Now theseare the singers,headsof fathers'[households] of the Levites,[who lived] in the chambers[of the temple] free[from other service]; for they were engagedin their workdayand night.
The weightof the nailswas fiftyshekelsof gold.He also overlaidthe upperroomswith gold.
Then Hezekiahcommanded[them] to prepareroomsin the houseof the LORD,and they prepared[them].
"Watchand keep[them] untilyou weigh[them] beforethe leadingpriests,the Levitesand the headsof the fathers'[households] of Israelat Jerusalem,[in] the chambersof the houseof the LORD."
had prepareda largeroomfor him, whereformerlythey putthe grain offerings,the frankincense,the utensilsand the tithesof grain,wineand oilprescribedfor the Levites,the singersand the gatekeepers,and the contributionsfor the priests.
Then I tookJaazaniahthe sonof Jeremiah,sonof Habazziniah,and his brothersand allhis sonsand the wholehouseof the Rechabites,
and I broughtthem into the houseof the LORD,into the chamberof the sonsof Hananthe sonof Igdaliah,the manof God,whichwas nearthe chamberof the officials,whichwas abovethe chamberof Maaseiahthe sonof Shallum,the doorkeeper.
"We have obeyedthe voiceof Jonadabthe sonof Rechab,our father,in allthat he commandedus, not to drinkwineallour days,we, our wives,our sonsor our daughters,
[There were] shutteredwindows[looking] towardthe guardrooms,and towardtheir sidepillarswithinthe gateallaround,and likewisefor the porches.And [there were] windowsallaroundinside;and on [each] sidepillar[were] palmtreeornaments.
