"Againyou will plantvineyardsOn the hillsof Samaria;The planterswill plantAnd will enjoy[them].
And sowfieldsand plantvineyards,And gathera fruitfulharvest.
For thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"Housesand fieldsand vineyardswill againbe boughtin thisland."'
"They will livein it securely;and they will buildhouses,plantvineyardsand livesecurelywhen I executejudgmentsupon allwho scornthem roundaboutthem. Then they will knowthat I am the LORDtheir God."'"
But you, O mountainsof Israel,you will putforth your branchesand bearyour fruitfor My peopleIsrael;for they will sooncome.
"Also I will restorethe captivityof My peopleIsrael,And they will rebuildthe ruinedcitiesand live[in them]; They will also plantvineyardsand drinktheir wine,And makegardensand eattheir fruit.
Then [those of] the Negevwill possessthe mountainof Esau,And [those of] the Shephelahthe Philistine[plain]; Also, possessthe territoryof Ephraimand the territoryof Samaria,And Benjamin[will possess] Gilead.
For I will makeSamariaa heapof ruinsin the open country,Plantingplacesfor a vineyard.I will pourher stonesdowninto the valleyAnd will laybareher foundations.
Eachof them will situnderhis vineAnd underhis figtree,With nooneto make[them] afraid,For the mouthof the LORDof hostshas spoken.
In that day,'declaresthe LORDof hosts,'everyoneof you will invitehis neighborto [sit] under[his] vineand under[his] figtree.'"
Whois the manthat has planteda vineyardand has not begunto useits fruit?Let him departand returnto his house,otherwisehe might diein the battleand anothermanwould beginto useits fruit.
"You shall betrotha wife,but anothermanwill violateher; you shall builda house,but you will not livein it; you shall planta vineyard,but you will not useits fruit.
Davidansweredthe priestand saidto him, "Surelywomenhave been keptfrom us as previouslywhen I setout and the vesselsof the youngmenwere holy,though it was an ordinaryjourney;howmuchmorethen todaywill their vessels[be holy]?"
