"Men will not break[bread] in mourningfor them, to comfortanyone for the dead,norgivethem a cupof consolationto drinkfor anyone's fatheror mother.
Then allhis brothersand allhis sistersand allwho had knownhim beforecameto him, and they atebreadwith him in his house;and they consoledhim and comfortedhim for allthe adversitiesthat the LORDhad broughton him. And eachonegavehim onepieceof money,and eacha ringof gold.
Then I lookedagainat allthe actsof oppressionwhichwere being doneunderthe sun.And behold[I saw] the tearsof the oppressedand [that] they hadnooneto comfort[them]; and on the sideof their oppressorswas power,but they hadnooneto comfort[them].
Do not weepfor the deador mournfor him, [But] weepcontinuallyfor the one who goesaway; For he will neverreturnOr seehis nativeland.
Her uncleannesswas in her skirts;She did not considerher future.Therefore she has fallenastonishingly;She hasnocomforter."See,O LORD,my affliction,For the enemyhas magnifiedhimself!"
"Groansilently;makenomourningfor the dead.Bindon your turbanand putyour shoeson your feet,and do not cover[your] mustacheand do not eatthe breadof men."
They will not pourout drinkofferingsof wineto the LORD,Their sacrificeswill not pleaseHim. [Their bread will] [be] like mourners'bread;Allwho eatof it will be defiled,For their breadwill be for themselves[alone]; It will not enterthe houseof the LORD.
I have not eatenof it while mourning,norhave I removedanyof it while I was unclean,norofferedanyof it to the dead.I have listenedto the voiceof the LORDmy God;I have doneaccording to allthat You have commandedme.
