Their bulbsand their brancheswere [of one piece] with it; the wholeof it [was] a singlehammeredworkof puregold.

The seedsshrivelundertheir clods;The storehousesare desolate,The barnsare torndown,For the grainis driedup.
When I breakyour staffof bread,tenwomenwill bakeyour breadin oneoven,and they will bringbackyour breadin rationedamounts,so that you will eatand not be satisfied.
Again, ifa manconsecratesto the LORDpart of the fieldsof his own property,then your valuationshall be proportionateto the seedneeded for it: a homerof barleyseedat fiftyshekelsof silver.
"You have sownmuch,but harvestlittle;[you] eat,but [there is] not [enough] to be satisfied;[you] drink,but [there is] not [enough] to becomedrunk;[you] puton clothing,but nooneis warm[enough]; and he who earns,earnswages[to put] into a pursewith holes."
from that time[when] one cameto a [grain] heapof twenty[measures], there would be only ten;and [when] one cameto the winevatto drawfiftymeasures,there would be [only] twenty.
"You shall bringout muchseedto the fieldbut you will gatherin little,for the locustwill consumeit.
"You shall plantand cultivatevineyards,but you will neitherdrinkof the winenorgather[the grapes], for the wormwill devourthem.
