Then he lookedand behold,there was at his heada breadcake[baked on] hotstones,and a jarof water.So he ateand drankand laydownagain.
But He setsthe needysecurelyon highaway from affliction,And makes[his] familieslike a flock.
He has givenfoodto those who fearHim; He will rememberHis covenantforever.
O LORD,whomay abidein Your tent?Whomay dwellon Your holyhill?
He makesmy feetlike hinds'[feet], And setsme upon my highplaces.
Behold,the eyeof the LORDis on those who fearHim, On those who hopefor His lovingkindness,
The younglionsdo lackand sufferhunger;But they who seekthe LORDshall not be in wantof anygoodthing.
Trustin the LORDand dogood;Dwellin the landand cultivatefaithfulness.
On Godmy salvationand my glory[rest]; The rockof my strength,my refugeis in God.
Lord,You have beenour dwellingplacein allgenerations.
"Becausehe has lovedMe, therefore I will deliverhim; I will sethim [securely] on high,becausehe has knownMy name.
"But he who listensto me shall livesecurelyAnd will be at easefrom the dreadof evil."
He who walksin integritywalkssecurely,But he who pervertshis wayswill be foundout.
The nameof the LORDis a strongtower;The righteousrunsinto it and is safe.
For You have beena defensefor the helpless,A defensefor the needyin his distress,A refugefrom the storm,a shadefrom the heat;For the breathof the ruthlessIs like a [rain] storm[against] a wall.
Although the Lordhas givenyou breadof privationand waterof oppression,[He], your Teacherwill nolongerhideHimself, but your eyeswill beholdyour Teacher.
Then my peoplewill livein a peacefulhabitation,And in securedwellingsand in undisturbedrestingplaces;
"They will not hungeror thirst,Norwill the scorchingheator sunstrikethem down;For He who hascompassionon them will leadthem And will guidethem to springsof water.
Thenyou will takedelightin the LORD,And I will make you rideon the heightsof the earth;And I will feedyou [with] the heritageof Jacobyour father,For the mouthof the LORDhas spoken."
Then KingZedekiahgavecommandment,and they committedJeremiahto the courtof the guardhouseand gavehim a loafof breaddailyfrom the bakers'street,untilallthe breadin the citywas gone.So Jeremiahremainedin the courtof the guardhouse.
The LORDroarsfrom ZionAnd uttersHis voicefrom Jerusalem,And the heavensand the earthtremble.But the LORDis a refugefor His peopleAnd a strongholdto the sonsof Israel.
The LordGODis my strength,And He has mademy feetlike hinds'[feet], And makes me walkon my highplaces.For the choirdirector,on my stringedinstruments.
