"Nowbehold,you relyon the staffof thiscrushedreed,[even] on Egypt;on whichif a manleans,it will gointo his handand pierceit. Sois Pharaohkingof Egyptto allwho relyon him.
Stopregardingman,whosebreath[of life] is in his nostrils;For whyshould he be esteemed?
"Therefore the safetyof Pharaohwill be your shameAnd the shelterin the shadowof Egypt,your humiliation.
"Everyonewill be ashamedbecauseof a peoplewho cannotprofitthem, [Who are] not for helpor profit,but for shameand alsofor reproach."
Even Egypt,whose helpis vainand empty.Therefore,I have calledher "Rahabwhohas been exterminated."
Woeto those who godownto Egyptfor help[And] relyon horses,And trustin chariotsbecausethey are manyAnd in horsemenbecausethey are verystrong,But they do not lookto the HolyOneof Israel,norseekthe LORD!

"And it will neveragainbe the confidenceof the houseof Israel,bringingto mindthe iniquityof their having turnedto Egypt. Then they will knowthat I am the LordGOD."'"
Ethiopiawas [her] might,And Egypttoo, withoutlimits.Putand Lubimwere among her helpers.
"You also,O Ethiopians,will be slainby My sword."
