"The kingof Babylonhas heardthe reportabout them, And his handshanglimp;Distresshas grippedhim, Agonylike a woman in childbirth.
The mightymenof Babylonhave ceasedfighting,They stayin the strongholds;Their strengthis exhausted,They are becoming[like] women;Their dwellingplacesare seton fire,The barsof her [gates] are broken.
"Cryout and wail,sonof man;for it is against My people,it is against allthe officialsof Israel.They are deliveredover to the swordwith My people,thereforestrike[your] thigh.
"And whenthey sayto you, 'Whydo you groan?'you shall say,'Becauseof the newsthat is coming;and everyheartwill melt,allhandswill be feeble,everyspiritwill faintand allkneeswill be weakas water.Behold,it comesand it will happen,'declaresthe LordGOD."
Allhandswill hanglimpand allkneeswill become[like] water.
Whocan standbeforeHis indignation?Whocan endurethe burningof His anger?His wrathis pouredout like fireAnd the rocksare brokenup by Him.
She is emptied!Yes, she is desolateand waste!Heartsare meltingand kneesknocking!Also anguishis in the wholebodyAnd alltheir facesare grownpale!
Whereis the denof the lionsAnd the feedingplaceof the younglions,Wherethe lion,lionessand lion'scubprowled,With nothingto disturb[them]?
